Meditation – Day: 13 Happiness

Many great spiritual beings, including the Dalai Lama, have taught that the purpose of life is the expansion of happiness. Scientific studies offer evidence that when we’re authentically happy, we tend to be healthier, more loving, more giving, more creative, more successful, more affluent, and more at peace with ourselves and with life. As the Chopra Center co-founder Dr. David Simon teaches at his Free to Love/Healing the Heart workshops for emotional freedom, even if no one has ever told us before, it is our birthright to be happy.

In today’s meditation, we will explore the realm of emotions and happiness. We will look at the main source of unhappiness, which is when our needs for attention, appreciation, and appreciation go unmet – and what we can do to fulfill those needs, both from within and without.
